Bob at GraceHouse Transitional Ministries in 2019, wearing traditional prayer shawl and sharing wisdom while helping others rebuild their lives
Bob at GraceHouse Transitional Ministries, 2019

Sometimes you don't need a guru. You need a grandpa.

I'm Bob, and I've learned that our greatest failures often become our most valuable wisdom.

I'm an honorably discharged veteran who returned home to watch my community collapse. So I rebuilt in North Carolina, achieved success, and then watched government agents see a profit opportunity after 9/11.

I made the hardest choice of my life—self-sacrifice to protect my family from ongoing harassment. Sometimes love means taking the hit so others can be free.

Pull up that chair a little closer. The worst things that happened to me became the best teachers I could offer you.

Now I'm building Rise & Reclaim—not just another online community, but a sustainable organization designed to carry forward this mission of helping forgotten people rebuild with purpose. Built to last beyond my lifetime.

The Truth About What Happened

At the height of my success—by age 40, I had built what many would call the American dream through Pinnacle Insurance Agency and investment banking—I faced a choice no father should have to make.

The system presented me with an impossible ultimatum: plead guilty to white collar crimes I did not commit, or watch my family be destroyed while I fought from behind prison bars. As a husband and father, I chose to sacrifice my own freedom to protect those I loved most, accepting a 14-year sentence to empower them to move forward with their lives.

This happened nearly 30 years ago, when government manipulation and corruption were hidden from public view, and people still believed in justice. But what happened to me then is no different from the current revelations we see daily about the weaponization of government systems against citizens for political and financial gain.

I was simply ahead of the curve in experiencing what we now recognize as systemic abuse of power—the same corruption that's being exposed across our institutions today. The choice was designed to be impossible: surrender and accept guilt for crimes I didn't commit, or risk everything my family had while fighting a system with unlimited resources and time.

I chose my family. And while that decision cost me 14 years of my life, it ultimately became the foundation for everything God has done through me since—proving that even our most painful sacrifices can become the very instruments of His redemptive purpose.
