I learned something that changed everything

I'm an honorably discharged veteran who returned home to watch my community collapse. Factories closed, opportunities vanished, half the town moved away. So in the mid-90s, I took my family to North Carolina and rebuilt our lives from the ground up.

I became successful again. Counselor specializing in trauma recovery. Self-made millionaire. Received President Bush's 1000 Points of Light Award for community service.

But success made me a target. After 9/11, government agents saw a profit opportunity in my success and didn't care to learn the truth. They set out to destroy me with fictitious narratives designed to extract maximum financial gain through extortionate plea deals.

I chose to self-sacrifice to protect my family and allow them to go on without me, free from ongoing harassment and bullying.

Made the decision to take my family to North Carolina. Rebuilt our lives and finances. Became a successful counselor, achieved millionaire status, received President Bush's 1000 Points of Light Award.

After 9/11

When Success Becomes a Target

Government agents saw a profit opportunity and didn't care to learn the truth. They set out to destroy me with fictitious narratives for extortionate plea deals, targeting my ability to be a father and husband.

14 Years Behind the Wire

Served behind the wire as teacher, librarian, barber, counselor, and friend. Learned that dignity can be found anywhere if you choose to find it. Discovered that broken people often have the most valuable wisdom to share.

2017-2021

GraceHouse: Picking People Up at the Gates

Founded GraceHouse Transitional Ministries immediately upon release. Picked people up at prison gates, took them to Walmart for basic dignity, helped them rebuild. Used every hard lesson to serve others walking similar paths.

2022-2025

Digital Grandpa: Sharing the Wisdom

Started writing as Digital Grandpa, realizing that all the pain, loss, and rebuilding had given me something valuable to share with others walking similar paths. Reached thousands with grandfatherly wisdom.

2025-Future

Rise & Reclaim: Building the Legacy

Now building Rise & Reclaim—a sustainable community designed to help others transform their setbacks into comebacks. Built to serve people long after I'm gone. Mobile Mission launching 2026 to bring services directly to underserved communities.
